I work for a limousine company and have been given the task of trying to get luxury hotels in our area to reccomend us for their customers’ transportation needs. Problem is, I’m not quite sure how to approach the hotel. Should I talk to the concierge first? Should I try to talk to a general manager? Any help would be appreciated.

One more thing. The company I work for is one of the biggest limo providers in our state. We’ve been in business for over 20 years.

I will be flying to Austin next month to attend 2 concerts/shows. One will be the Melvins at Emo’s and the other will be Black Label Society at Austin Music Hall on the next night. Are there any inexpensive hotels to stay at in those 2 areas? I probably will go out for a few beers before each show. I am planning on getting around on foot or taxi. I went to yahoo maps and each venue is approx. 1 mile from each other. I am not looking for luxury in a hotel. I just want a place to shower and crash for the 2 nights I will be there.

I should say that this is NOT for business, but I generally enjoy staying in modern style hotels. I would also go for a “funky, hip” type place.

In the past I’ve always stayed at the Swissotel, looking for something a bit different.
