Marissa L asked: just curious because i have a friend who just quit a really good job, moved down there spur of the moment (literally decided in a week), and she’s only lived there a week or 2 and she’s already gotten like 5 jobs and doesn’t know which one she should take or keep, and her myspace photos are now filled with pages full of her at VIP tables with all these new “friends”. i talked to her the other day and she told me that she never pays a CENT for anything whether it be getting in, drinks, or vip service/tables. keep in mind, she moved down there knowing NO ONE at all.
i thought about moving to vegas a couple months ago and i got lots of answers saying not to do it that the job market in vegas was horrrrrrrible and that i probably wouldn’t be able to find a job. but my friend is making it sound like life is a breeze down there - getting that many jobs offers in a week and having the luxury of deciding.. sign me up because this economy sucks where i currently live. sure the jobs she’s interviewing for are all in hotels, fancy restaurants, or fancy clubs but i assume that with tips she’ll be making far more than i am and i have a college degree!
the thing is, i will admit, that she is your stereotypical looking vegas party girl - what most people would stereotypically consider “attractive” or “hot”. so is life so easy for her down there because of her looks? is it that easy for the average looking individual, lol?

orla.olsen asked: We’ll be traveling to Vegas for 3 days from the 5th of august. We are a family og 2 adult and 4 teenagers. We have never been in Vegas before. We have found 3 “hot deals” for the accomodation. Which would you recommend between:
1) Luxor: Pyramid Spa Suite: Luxor MVP Offer, 382,00 USD per room for 3 days excl. tax
2) Flamingo:GO Luxury with Strip View, 360,00 USD per room for 3 days excl. tax
3) Rio:Premium Studio Suite, 348,00 USD per room for 3 days excl. tax
(also taking into account the quality of the pool facilities)
Thanks for any and all responses!

honesty_counts asked: I remember a few months ago, people were waiting in mile-long lineups for the “opportunity” to buy a Mc Mansion. Now they are gone, but I am sure that this desire to buy into a luxurious lifestyle could not have died so quickly, or could it?
So what exactly is happening in the housing market today?
Why are the people not buying homes like they once used to?
It is because their friends did not like the color of their wallpaper?
I “was” thinking about beginning to build in either Arizona, Las Vegas, or Southern California, because those are the fastest growing hot spots, but a friend once told me that it has cooled a bit since then. OK, so it will get hot again, and then those will be the best places to build, or will they?
If you were going to build luxury homes for the masses, where in North America would you begin building. I’m talking about 10,000 sq ft +

hoppy1214 asked: Hi all, I’d like to ask for some opinions on Vegas hotels. I’m heading home to Utah (from Cali) tomorrow with my bf. I want to surprise him w a night or two in a great vegas hotel. I’ve found some really good deals but I’m just not familiar enough with the hotels. For example, I can get 2 nights in a luxury room at the Stratosphere for under $100, or I can stay at a higher rated hotel– like Mandalay Bay– at the same price for not quite so luxurious a room. A comfortable room is key more than location. Any suggestions? Or any great promo deals you know of?

Jon Cope asked: I’m arriving at Las Vegas airport at about midnight, during the week. Can anyone recommend a place to stay just for that night, as close as possible to the airport? I have one of the luxury strip hotels booked for the rest of my stay but I don’t want to waste $2-300 on a hotel when I’ll just be whacked after a long flight - or end up in an off-strip flea pit.

Erik D asked: I’m surprising my wife with a trip to Vegas for our anniversary. We’re going in December. I definately want a hotel on the strip as it’s our first time there. I want to balance betweeen price, luxury, a decent pool that will be open in December, good location on the strip, good and affordable restaurants and an interesting attraction at the hotel.
I had originally looked at TI but then found out that the pool is closed during the winter. We would also like to go to a Cirque show and maybe another show (Stomp, Blue Man, another Cirque, etc) so a hotel that had one of these in house would be nice.
The biggest must is that it is on the strip and within walking distance of the Bellagio Fountains, TI pirate ships, Mirage Volcano, etc.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated for hotels and also for shows to see and other activities to do.
Thanks!
Troy
