we went not too long ago and it is a mixed place. during the day i would say it is okay to take the kid to cool exhibits and stuff. but after dark it is an adult playground. overall, vegas is taking the turn towards sin city and luring adults. i lived there as a 14 year old and it was much more kid oriented than now. In almost 10 years, it definately has changed. The smut peddlers and some of the ads around the strip arent what I would want my kid seeing, along with the crazy people that are always found there.

it not to much to do for a 14 yrs old. u can go to the circus circus adventure dome, gameworks, and u can go ice skating. The grand Canyons is about a 3 to 6 hour drive from here. MAGIC MOUNTAIN IS AN 5 HOUR DRIVE FROM HERE OR 45 MINUTES BY AIRPLANE

It is mostly for adults. yes there are shows and attractions for you and your kid to go too.

I loved and I’m 14. I prefer the MGM Grand hotel. It’s a great spot. I, too, went with somebody over the age of 50

While there *are* things to teens to do, I’de suggest leaving Vegas to the adults.

I’ve made at least 2 trips per year (with and without my kids) for the last 10 years, but when my kids were with me the only place to stay was Circus Circus! By the time they were on or about 14 years old and between the Adventuredome (enclosed within the hotel on the promonade level and secured), the Midway Arcade, circus acts, Wet n’ Wild 1 block down the street, McDonalds, Pizzaria, and late night movies ordered in the room - my kids had a blast! They occasionally found time to spend with us to ride the bus or take a cab to the “main Vegas sights” like white tigers, dolphins, and the volcano at Mirage, lions in MGM, Bellagio fountains, etc., but at Circus Circus they felt like they belonged - unlike many places in Vegas. It isn’t fancy like the “mega resorts” so do the luxury thing elsewhere, but I don’t think there really is any other place in Las Vegas suitable for kids.

I went to Las Vegas in july…had a blast. I saw a lot of kids. I wouldn’t recommend it for a 14 year old, though. If you do take him, just know that he will be seeing a lot of drunk and wild people cause there’s an awful lot of shenanigans going on!
