Moving to Las Vegas?

I am considering moving to Las Vegas at the beginning of the year and I was wondering what areas are safe and which aren’t. I have heard Summerlin is nice but I have yet to find an apartment in my price range in that area. Does anyone have any suggestions, I don’t need luxury, I just want a place that is relatively safe.

   try henderson, just outside of the city. Fairly suburban but just a short drive to the action.

   My best advise is to contact the local Police Dept. and ask where they have the most calls.
   They will be able to tell you better than anyone else.

   i live in vegas. vegas is hella ghetto. not all of it though. summerlin is nice. most of henderson is too.
