   the most expensive is the Hyatt hotel chain and from there it goes downward.

   Whenever I travel, I always try to find bargains and I constantly login into the following websites:

   Best resort - Disneyland. It’s about 40 miles south of Los Angeles in Anaheim, but Southern California has a great public transportation system.

   Considered best luxury hotel in LA area - Beverly Hills Hotel — be prepared to lay down some serious $$$$$.

   Best luxury hotel in Southern California - Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego Area - AWESOME!

   Hotel Belair is by far the best as far as luxury goes and being in the midst of LA. Wonderful for a ladies weekend of shopping and clubs. If you don’t mind being a bit further south try La Costa Suites for luxury and being pampered in the spa, it is more private. If you are going into the inland a bit more the Pasadena Hilton is great and has a lot to walk to shopping.

   Try Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica…

   I also agree that the Hotel Del in San Diego is AMAZING. But not really the Los Angeles area…
