The safest place to go, I would recommend BOHOL. Superferry stops in Tagbilaran City. And I would recommend going there around 2nd week of July. In July they will have this SANDUGO STreet Dancing commemorating the FRIENDSHIP with the spaniards years ago. And then you guys can go to the beautiful beaches in Panglao and Dauis and more beaches is PANGGANGAN Island in Calape Bohol. Then you can go to LOBOC to see the big cross ontop of the mountain - you can hike or ride the motorcycle called "habal-habal". Downtown Loboc, you can visit the 2nd oldest church, get on the floating restaurant and experience the hospitality they give you. The barangay Valladolid has the floating restaurant and so as the small NIPA HUT to spend the night. I know people from there. Then from Loboc, you can ride the jeepney or motorcycle to go to CARMEN, Bohol and see the famous and wonder of the chocolate Hills.

I am sure there is more to see in BOHOL than what I have mentioned above. TRUST ME! Bohol is beautiful.

Have fun and enjoy your stay!

If you scuba dive, consider Apo Island of Negros Oriental. Absolutely world class. I found Siquijor charming as well. All possible via supercat ferry from Cebu.

from manila to the visayan region, there are wondrous destinations to hop on, try first going to boracay, an island known for its powder-white sand beaches. Guimaras Islands is a noveau, they have the sweetest mangoes, lots of beaches, caves and islets plus down-to-earth peaceful environments, pretty cheap. top of the line and world class spots are found in palawan, the country's cleanest and less populated where you can find a long stretch of getaways. try going to bohol, where you will see a natural wonder, "chocolate hills", the world's smallest primate, the tarsier, you will meet the most accomodating filipinos. also try cebu, the queen city, an alternative to manila with good resorts. if you want to know more about nice destinations that the 7,107 islands Philippines has to offer, you could email me. Philippines: "it's more than the usual"
