chic restaurant btw 40 and 59th street Manhattan?

2 colleagues are staying in a nice 4* hotel at the 45th. They asked me to find them a good restaurant, kind of design, not too luxury, quiete. They don’t really mind of the price, they want a lovely place.
Can you please help me because I am not in NY for so long..

   Recommend going to Town restaurant located at 15 West 56 Street between Fifth and Sixth Aves. Located within the Chambers Hotel, this is an excellent place to dine. Rated 24 by Zagat’s.

   Cafe Gray

   All restaurants W Times Square W46th St btw 8th and 9th : Barbetta, Joe Allen,
