How to find lowest discount price for Sandals or Beaches resorts?
I’m looking into vacationing at a Beaches resort property in 2008. The all-inclusive Beaches resorts are part of the Sandals Resorts chain however Beaches resorts are geared towards families with young children.
My question is: Where can I go to get the best discount pricing for a 1 week stay at a Beaches resort?
For comparison, let’s say I’m talking about 3/22/08-3/29/08 (7 nights) at Beaches Sandy Bay in Jamaica in a Luxury King Oceanview room for 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 5 and 1).
As of 6/20/07…
Beaches.com is $3944.50 (30% discount off of $5635 rack rate).
Hotels.com, Expedia.com, and VacationsOnly.com is $5635.00 (after modifying resvn to 2 adults and 1 child age 5).
AAVacations.com is $4508.00 or 563,500 frequent flier miles.
I also tried Travelocity, Hotwire, CheapTickets, Priceline, Bookit, Site59, Kayak, Travelzoo, and Costco Travel. No luck.
I need the help of all of you travel discount aficionados! How do I beat the price of Beaches.com?
By the way, I’m looking for excellent discounts on the room only. I will use frequent flier miles for our flight reservations.
Answerers 1, 2, and 4:
The intent of my question is to seek information, not to seek requests for my business. I shall interpret your responses to mean that I might be able to seek a better rate from an independent travel agent.
But wouldn’t the commission be at most 10%? If so, then what type of deal can I expect to receive… 1 or 2% at the most?
Please feel free to edit your answers with more information. Thank you.
Update 6/21/07:
Applevacations.com does not handle Beaches.
I found that Funjet.com beats the price at Beaches.com. Funjet quoted me a price of $3,910.02.
Thanks to jules for steering me towards searchalldeals.com. I see that it’s a good place to go to find discount codes or current offers. Unfortunately right now there are no codes or offers for Beaches resorts.

Have you tried SearchAllDeals? Just start with a search term like “Sandals or Beaches resorts”.

Let me know if you got a better deal with the two agents, then I’ll let you know if I can beat their prices.
