where to stay in Thailand (types of accomodation)?

english guy 1985 asked:

where is the best kind of places to stay in Thailand? are there any good youth hostels in Bangkok? what about the price of regular hotels, Im assuming you can get a fair deal of luxury fairly cheaply? Is it worth renting an apartment if I might stay there for up to 2 months?

If you wanna stay for more than a month, it’s best to rent a service apartment. It’s much cheaper than a hotel. Find one along Sukhumvit road.
Good hotels are not expensive too.

Try having a look here. You have more accommodation options than you can probably handle.

You can sort by location , star rating, last minute or year round discounts and name.

Hotels can be good value as the prices are per room, not per bed like a hostel. Paperwork, bonds, and viewing apartments on the ground is a possibility, but I’d rather spend time enjoying the place rather than hunting for places when i arrived - just my thoughts.

For other Thailand visits, have a look around at the other places on offer here:
