They set up tents and huge tarpaulin covers in the middle of the wide, tree-lined avenue, cutting off all commuter traffic on Monday morning. The avenue is home to Mexico’s stock market, many luxury hotels, government offices, headquarters of major corporations and the U.S. embassy.

Destroying a huge city’s economic infrastructure and ruining the livelihood of hundreds of thousands just because you personally can’t stand to lose an election is the ultimate in self obsessive grandstanding!
Every piece of evidence produced by Lopez Obrador to date has been either falsified, fake or an outright lie. So far during the recounting of thousands of polling stations NO fraud has been detected at ALL! In fact his opponent has actually gained more votes!
The PRD party claimed 2,000,000 people at his lastest rally, local media, the international press and the national police said 180,000 to under 500,000. This is no “ground swell” movement FOR democracy, it is a social fascist attempt to subvert and destroy a democracy, There is practically NOBODY on the barricades at all, a few dozen at most and they are being maintained only by the fact that Lopez Obrador’s party, the PRD controls the city.
By actual survey, the citizens here are 4 to 1 against this criminal action (in a city which gave him a landslide on July 2nd.) members and supporters of his own party are speaking out against him now, and many diverse groups are taking legal action against the PRD and the city government.
