Most five-star hotels will accommodate your request, but your wish for a tree tells me you’re really in the holiday spirit. As such, I would steer you to hotels in what’s arguably the most “Christmas-sy” area in the country: Midtown Manhattan near Central Park and Rockefeller Center.
My top choices: The Pierre on Fifth Avenue, and the Ritz-Carlton on Central Park South. I know the concierges at both hotels, and their policy is to never say “no” to a guest request. Be assured, a tree in your room won’t be a problem.
What’s more, both are adjacent to Central Park, and Christmas is the perfect time of year for a carriage ride. Additionally, both are just a few blocks from Rockefeller Center with its ice skating and enormous tree, as well as the extravaganlty decorated of the high-end stores along Fifth Avenue.
