what are some luxury hotels near Disney in Orlando?

We have looked at the rates for the Disney properties and they are really high. I know the pros and cons of staying on-site, but we are thinking we might be able to stay in a very nice hotel that is very close to Disney World for cheaper. We’ve stayed at the Grande Lakes JW Marriott and thought it was really nice but too far from DW.

   try Marriott World Center
   Gaylord Palms

   both almost right across I4 to Disney

   if you dont mind a little further 10-15 mins Peabody which is the closes you can get to a 5 star 5 diamond hotel.

   Do you have AAA? I go to Disney a lot. I’ve found some of the best price packages through them.

   Some of the “on site” ones, like the one with the big guitar.., are no more expensive.

   the grand floridian is really nice. i saw everyday on the monorail when i was at disney world.
