Luxury Hotel in Pattaya?

luxury hotel
Hermes asked:

Hi everybody, my friend had told me about this hotel: I cannot ask him now as he moved, but here is the question.

I was thinking about a Luxury Hotel in Pattaya that is right on the beach and is a full service five star hotel. I think it was Marriott but I am not sure. It has its own grounds with activities etc. It is supposed to have 4 pools, with one exclusively for the kids.

Does anyone have an idea which one it is, or which hotels fit the description. Thanks in advance.

I think you’re talking about the Royal Cliffs, it’s a five-star rated hotel with five swimming pools and is right on the beach. It’s definitely not the Marriott, the Marriott is across the street from the beach. One other five-star hotel right on the beach is the Dusit Thani, but they don’t have four swimming pools.

Sorry but I’m not sure which hotel you are talking about, but Dusit is definitely one of the best choice, too. Excellent location on the beach road. Easy to get a baht taxi (pick up trucks) to downtown Pattaya. Lovely pools and landscaping. Within walking distance to many resturants, supermarkets and shopping places on the 2nd road. Superior garden view USD117 in Oct

Pattaya! Keep in mind that you can get an air conditioned hotel room starting around 450 baht in some places; if you want to spend 5000 baht per night for a luxury place - go for it!

Royal Cliff is a good choice and has lots of amenities but you are not close to any nightlife, shops, travel agencies, small restaurants, malls, etc. Other than walking around the hotel grounds you would have to pay for transportation to get everywhere. Check out the map below.

The Marriott is right next to a mall where there are lots of shops, restaurants, even a movie theater! From the Marriott you can easily walk to many places and if you need transportation you can go out to Pattaya 2nd Road or Beach Road and get a moving baht bus for only 10 baht! Jomtien is the better beach for “beach type” swimming, tourists don’t swim at Pattaya Beach.

There are lots and lots of other good hotels even at half this price in Pattaya. Average tourist probably spends under $50 per night for a room. Backpackers and thrift travelers $25 and under.

    Up to you!

It should be “Royal Cliff Beach” there are more than 4 swimming pool. Pool for kids, I think is the one near sport club, it has 2 steps (one pool on the ground and one on above) swimming pool. the hotels is located between pattaya beach and jomtien beach=&www=hotels-at-thailand.com

Another five stars hotels is on the right of pattaya beach ie. Dusit Thani Hotel, (smaller than Royal Cliff Beach)
