I would highly recommend LeBua at State tower which is situated on Silom Road. It'll be $10 over budget at $110 per night but it'll be so worth it as its a suite only hotel. It has glorious views over the river and the building houses some of Bangkok's finest restaurants such as Sirocco and Breeze and is also home to the world famous 'Sky bar'

There really is so many good things about this hotel I'd be here all day so have a look at their website and see for yourself!!

Most luxury hotels near shopping centres do cost more tha US$100 a night. If you lower your grade, you will find plenty for under a hundred bucks a night and close to shopping centres.

if you really take time to figure out all the pluses many hotels qualify. i pay 1200 baht a night (about 35 USD) and for that they have restaurant room service, laundry service, limo service, bellboy, valet, 24 hour maid service and more and you will not get that in usa for less than 2-300 USD.

Amari hotel is around 3-4000 baht on sukhumvit
